General Meeting of the Membership

A Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Ogden Regional Airport Association was held at 1730 on 7 May 2009 at the Associations place of business.
Directors present were David Young, Patrick Mebus, David Shumway, Robert Foxley, Kim Mathews, Philip Wagner, and J R Lundgreen.
Other ORAA members present: Jim Turpin, Dennis & Lisa Kowalewski, Howen, Dan Blumel, Dwight Baldwin, Ralph Baughman, and Dwight Burks
The meeting was called to order by ORAA President David Young. The minutes from
2 April 2009 were read and approved.
President Report:
Candidate Solicitation and Nomination process for the June Elections was outlined. The Board approved and extended voting period from 4 June to 13 June.
Members who are current on their dues may vote for the Candidates running for Board and Officer Positions. A member can become current by paying the $25 dues to ORAA.
Nominations were received from the members present and by personal contact by the current Board. The following names were submitted and will appear on the final Ballot:

Meeting Minutes March 5 2009
Minutes of the General Meeting of the Membership of the ORAA
A General Meeting of the Membership of the Ogden Regional Airport Association was held at 5:00 PM on March 5, 2009 at the corporation’s place of business.
Directors present were David Young, Patrick Mebus, Kim Crittenden, J.R. Lundgren, Ed Rich, Phil Wagner, David Shumway, Bob Foxley, Kim Matthews.
David Young reminded all members of the ELT change. Satellites are no longer monitoring 121.5. However general aviation airplanes and airliners do monitor the frequency.
David Young presented a storm water billing update.
David Young reported on the status of our website update.
David Young requested all members who are not receiving e-mail notifications to please let him know and supply their current, correct e-mail address.
David Young presented information on AOPA e-Briefs.
David Young informed us of the following important dates:
- 9 March - Informational meeting with Kevin Ireland
- 1-7 June - Air Force Week
- 13 June - ORAA Membership Breakfast and Vintage Car Show
- 11 July - Harley -Davidson HOG Show
- Second Friday of summer months ORAA pot luck barbecues (Weather permitting will start 8 May 2009)
David Young reminded all members that donations to the ORAA Foundation are applied 100% to scholarships. No overhead is associated with the Foundation.
The next meeting, to be held at 5:30 PM on April 2, 2009, will be a regular meeting of the board of directors of the ORAA.
The meeting was adjourned and our guest speaker, Kirk Nielson, presented aviation related information pertinent to all Utah airports.
